Electrical Contractor Penalized $7,000 for Worker’s Facial Injury

An electrical construction contractor had sufficient control over circuit breakers at a New Hampshire site to address electrical hazards, a workplace safety judge ruled.

Despite this, a journeyman electrician employed by Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc., suffered a facial injury when he came in contact with an energized bus bar during the installation of an electric substation at Fidelity Real Estate Company in Merrimack. A bus bar is a conductor or system of conductors for collecting and distributing electrical current.
