Dumpster Manufacturer Cited for Several Worker Safety Hazards

The US Labor Department has proposed $484,401 in penalties to Custom Container Solutions for two willful, three repeat, 23 serious, and two other-than-serious violations at its Milton, Pa., facility, the agency announced Monday.

After opening an inspection of the steel container manufacturer, Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigators found deficiencies that exposed employees to potential harm, including improper storage of flammable materials, failure to complete assessments for personal protective equipment, and failure to establish an energy control program, the agency said.
