DOL Officials Tout Their Pursuit of Workplace Safety Violators

The Department of Labor’s top attorney and OSHA’s enforcement director had a common message March 6: They’re not backing off from taking action against safety and health violations.

“The Solicitor’s Office will continue to pursue all available remedies against employers who disregard the law and subject their employees to unsafe and unhealthy workplace conditions,” DOL Solicitor Kate O’Scannlain said at the annual winter meeting of the American Bar Association’s Occupational Safety and Health Committee in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
