DOL Final Rule Opens Draft Guidance Papers to Public Review (1)

New Department of Labor draft guidance documents with a projected economic impact of at least $100 million will be subject to a public notice and comment period, much the same way proposed regulations are open for review, the DOL said in previewing a final rule on Friday.

The Promoting Regulatory Openness through Good Guidance rule implements President Donald Trump’s 2019 Executive Order 13891, which also required federal agencies to create a searchable database containing links to all guidance documents.
