Covid-19 Health-Care Facility Inspection Plan Initiated by OSHA

Starting Wednesday, OSHA is beginning a three-month inspection push targeting health-care employers where Covid-19 hazards were identified during earlier inspections.

At the checks, inspectors will determine if previously cited Covid-19 violations were corrected, and if problems that generated complaints but didn’t result in citations were fixed, according to a recent memorandum from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The program, in part, fulfills commitments from OSHA to revisit Covid-19 inspection sites to ensure employers carried through on promises to improve their Covid-19 prevention efforts.
