Safety and industry groups are supporting a proposal to update OSHA’s five-decades-old requirements for forklift design and manufacturing.
“This is an initiative we’ve been working on for a number of years with OSHA,” Brian Feehan, president of the Industrial Truck Association, said of the rule’s potential update. The association’s members produce more than 90% of the forklifts and other types of industrial trucks sold in North America.
