Biden to Tap NLRB Lawyer Williamson to Lead Mine Safety Agency

President Joe Biden intends to nominate Christopher Williamson to lead the Mine Safety and Health Administration, the White House announced Friday.

Williamson is currently senior counsel to NLRB Chair Lauren McFerran (D) and has experience on Capitol Hill, having previously worked as labor counsel to former Sen. Tom Harkin on the chamber’s labor panel and as a legislative assistant to Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va), according to the White House announcement.
