Biden Renominates Marvit for Federal Mine Review Commission Seat

President Joe Biden (D) on Thursday renominated lawyer Moshe Marvit, for the third time to fill an open seat at the US Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission.

Marvit, a Pittsburgh-based attorney with the commission, was previously nominated in 2022 and 2023, but his nominations weren’t voted on by the full Senate. If approved this year, Marvit’s term would expire in August 2028.

Prior to joining the commission, Marvit represented the United Steelworkers in private practice, according to his agency profile. He also advocated for employees in workplace matters.
