Biden Appoints New Chair of OSHA Safety Citation Appeal Panel

President Joe Biden has appointed Cynthia Attwood as the new chairman of the judicial board hearing appeals of Occupational Safety and Health Administration citations.

Attwood already was serving as one of the three commissioners at the Occupational Safety and Heath Review Commission. She took over Jan. 25 from Commissioner James Sullivan who was named to the post by President Donald Trump.

Attwood said late Monday that Biden made the designation Jan. 20. The agency has updated its website to reflect her elevation to the top post.
