Auto-Part Maker Joon Faces Criminal Charge for Worker’s Death

Auto-part manufacturer Joon LLC faces a federal criminal charge stemming from the 2016 death of a worker at its plant in Cusseta, Ala.

The company, also known as Ajin USA, is accused of willfully violating an Occupational Safety and Health Administration rule intended to protect workers from being injured by factory machinery. The criminal case was filed March 16 by the U.S. attorney for the middle district of Alabama, Louis Franklin.

If convicted, Joon could be fined up to $10,000 and sentenced to probation.
