Amazon’s Bid to Stop Sharing of Subpoenaed Documents Hits Hurdle

Amazon.com Inc.‘s effort to keep the US Justice Department from sharing hundreds of thousands of subpoenaed worker safety documents that the company says are confidential is on shaky ground following a federal district court hearing.

“If we get a response that 500,000 documents are confidential—that’s not going to work,” Magistrate Judge Michelle Peterson of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington told Amazon’s attorneys Monday.
