ACLU Sues Nebraska Meat Processor Over Virus Safety Protocols

The American Civil Liberties Union wants a federal court to impose social distancing and other coronavirus safety protocols on a meat packer in Hastings, Neb., according to a federal lawsuit.

The suit, filed Monday at the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska at Lincoln, alleges that Noah’s Ark Processors LLC—a Minnesota-based firm—refuses to offer sick leave and personal protective equipment, including masks, to its workers and has failed to implement social distancing protocols to protect employees and the surrounding community from the coronavirus.
