Zantrex Maker, Snooki Hit With False Ad Suit

Diet supplement maker Basic Research LLC, Jersey Shore’s Snooki and others were hit Dec. 16 with a proposed class suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York challenging “weight loss” and “fat loss” representations on several Zantrex-3 products (Brady v. Basic Research LLC, E.D. N.Y., No. 13-07169).

New Yorker Ashley Brady alleges the defendants market Zantrex-3, Zantrex-3 High Energy Fat Burner and Zantrex-3 Power Crystals as clinically proven to provide “Rapid Weight Loss,” “Rapid Fat Loss” and “Extreme Energy.”
