Wesson Oil Label Deal’s $6 Million in Fees Fair, 9th Cir. Told

A Wesson Oil class settlement reached after eight years of litigation over its labels, that includes $1 million for the class and nearly $7 million in attorneys’ fees and costs, should be upheld, plaintiff Robert Briseño and others said in a filing to the Ninth Circuit.

An objector’s appeal is based on a legal proposition concerning the attorneys’ fees that’s contrary to controlling law, the plaintiffs told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
