Walmart Sued Over Marketing of Equate Infants’ Pain Reliever (1)

Walmart Inc. misleads parents who buy its Equate-brand infants’ pain reliever into thinking infants can’t safely use the less expensive children’s Equate products, a new proposed class suit in California federal court alleges.

The concentration of acetaminophen, the active ingredient, is the same in the Equate infants’ and children’s products, but the infants’ products cost three times more per ounce, Joanna Ceballos-Birney alleges in a suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
