Walmart Slapped Again for Destroying Video Footage

Walmart Inc. got sanctioned by another federal court Oct. 15 for destroying video and other evidence in a personal injury suit. The judge rejected the retailer’s argument it didn’t need to keep the videotape because company policy doesn’t require it.

The ruling marks at least the ninth federal court to have sanctioned the retailer over the last five years for losing or destroying evidence, mostly video footage relevant to slip-and-fall cases.
