Walgreens ‘Rapid Release’ Pain Reliever False Ad Claims Dropped

Four plaintiffs alleging Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. deceived consumers about the speed of “rapid release” acetaminophen pain relievers have dismissed their claims for now, according to filings in the Northern District of Illinois.

Erika Brown, Lisa Satchel, Kenneth Brewer, and Phyllis Gray filed a proposed class suit in 2018 alleging they were tricked into believing they were getting the “fastest” dissolving acetaminophen products available because of the use of the words “Rapid Release” on the package labeling.
