VW Reaches Settlement on Jetta, Tiguan Transmission Flaw Claims

Volkswagen Group of America Inc.'s agreement to fix alleged Jetta and Tiguan transmission problems not already addressed through repair programs, to extend warranties, and to reimburse vehicle owners merits preliminary approval, consumers told a federal court in California.

Three distinct issues causing rattling, jerking, and oil leaks were identified through the litigation, Dominique Parrish and other vehicle owners and lessees said Monday in their approval request.
