Tyson Sued Over ‘Climate-Smart’ Beef, Net-Zero Emission Plan (1)

Tyson Foods Inc. misleads consumers into believing its beef products are reducing environmental harm and that the company is working towards achieving net-zero climate emissions by 2050, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday.

“Unbeknownst to consumers, Tyson—which produces tremendous volumes of climate-warming emissions at every stage of its industrial meat production process—has no plan to achieve these goals and is taking no meaningful steps to do so,” the complaint filed in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia said.
