Trader Joe’s Alkaline Water Claims All Wet, Suit Says

Trader Joe’s tricks consumers into overspending for “Alkaline Water” that’s no better at hydrating than ordinary water, a proposed class suit alleges.

The water derives its name from the pH scale, a measure ranging from 1 to 14, with 7 considered to be neutral. A pH less than 7 is considered to be acidic, and solutions with a pH greater than 7 are basic or alkaline.
