Ticket Seller Viagogo Beats Class Bid in Covid Refund Lawsuit

Ticket reseller Viagogo Entertainment Inc. shook off creation of a consumer class in an action seeking refunds for shows canceled due to Covid-19 after the Middle District of Florida found too many individual questions for a class to proceed.

“The most glaring individualized question” involves the “uncertainty of the buyers’ damages,” the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida said July 16.

The complaint seeks refunds for all class members, including those who received vouchers, and those who hold tickets to events rescheduled more than 90 days after the original dates.
