Three-Wheeler Importer’s Alleged Failures To Remedy Recall Problems Prompt Hearing

Wildfire Motors of Steubenville, Ohio will be the subject of a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration public hearing over whether the company failed to adequately fix braking and other problems for which a recall was issued for its model year 2009 WF65O-C, a three-wheeled vehicle with an enclosed cab, the agency said Sept. 25.

The hearing, slated Oct. 15, will consider agency allegations that Wildfire Motors did not fully comply with statutory recall remedy obligations, NHTSA said in a Federal Register notice.
