Tesla, Vehicle Owners to Settle Faulty-Touchscreen Claims

Tesla Inc. and four owners of early Model S and Model X vehicles have agreed to a settlement in principle of the consumers’ individual claims that the touchscreen units fail after a few years of normal use, posing safety risks, according to a filing in federal court in California.

The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed in the notice. Neither Tesla nor attorneys for the plaintiffs immediately responded to requests for comment.
