Tesla Sued Over Car Crash That Killed Desk Worker in Building

An elderly driver’s Tesla Inc. Model 3 car lacked sensors, software, and warnings that could have prevented its crash into an office building, where it fatally struck a 31-year-old sales worker at her desk, her parents say in a new complaint.

Michele and Lars Mulford are also suing the driver, Virginia C. Laise, who was allegedly speeding and lost control of the vehicle. They filed the complaint, on behalf of their daughter’s estate and themselves, against Laise and Tesla on Tuesday in Delaware Superior Court.
