Tesla Fatality Suit Blaming Autopilot Stays in Federal Court

A man who claims Tesla Inc.'s Autopilot system was responsible for an accident that caused his wife’s death and his own injuries lost his bid to return the suit to the California state court where he filed it, a federal court in the state ruled.

Tesla’s change of headquarters location from Palo Alto, Calif., to Austin, Texas, occurred before Derrick Monet served the company’s registered agent with a copy of the complaint, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Wednesday.
