Target Corp. and children’s product maker Prince Lionheart Inc. have agreed to settle a suit alleging a toilet-training product caused lacerations and permanent damage to a toddler’s penis, according to a filing in federal court in Florida.
The complaint asserted claims on behalf of a proposed class of weePOD Basix owners as well as the personal injury claims. But there’s no indication in the docket or the March 11 filing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida that the parties will seek approval for a class settlement.
