Food service giant Centerplate Inc. committed serious food safety and other contract violations at Florida’s Tropicana Field, according to a lawsuit filed by the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team.
The case, filed Dec. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, pits the major league baseball club against its former vendor, a major player in food concessions that serves 300 major event venues in the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
