Tainted ground beef served by a Marine Corps food vendor caused a recruit to suffer kidney and brain damage, ending his military career before it started, a federal lawsuit alleges.
Sodexo Inc. employees routinely served undercooked ground beef to hundreds of recruits at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot and Camp Pendeton in California, the complaint filed July 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California alleges.
