Hard Eight Nutrition LLC, doing business as BulkSupplements.com, was hit with a proposed class action alleging its magnesium powder products have a lower concentration of the element than advertised.
The advertised amount of magnesium in a serving of BulkSupplements’ magnesium glycinate powder is mathematically impossible due to its chemical composition, according to plaintiff Sean Miran’s complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
The company advertises the supplement as providing muscle relaxation, stress relief, bone health, and mood support, according to the complaint.
