Sue Bee Honey Customer Voluntarily Drops Suit Over ‘Pure’ Label

A Sue Bee Honey consumer who alleged “pure” label statements are deceptive because the finished honey contains traces of the weedkiller glyphosate has voluntarily dropped the suit, according to filings in federal court in New York.

  • The Sioux Honey Association Cooperative argued that the “pure” and “100% pure” label claims aren’t misleading because any trace amounts of glyphosate result from the bees’ natural interactions with agriculture, not its production process.
