Stellantis Sued Over Defective Jeep Models That Can Catch Fire

Stellantis was hit with a new proposed class action from a group of consumers who say that certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles contain a defect in the power steering pump electrical connector that can cause vehicle fires both while they’re being driven or when parked.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, said at least nine vehicle fires have been reported, and an ongoing National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation covers over 781,000 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles.
