Square Inc. can compel arbitration of would-be class claims challenging its process to address complaints about fraudulent transactions related to its Cash App and Cash Card accounts, a New York federal judge said.
Deeann Thorne and several others claimed that funds were fraudulently withdraw from their Cash App and Cash Card accounts by third parties, and the dispute resolution process improperly placed the burden on them to prove that the transactions were unauthorized.
