Sports Research Corp. Fails to Exit Suit Over Weight-Loss Aid

Sports Research Corp. must keep defending a proposed class suit alleging it falsely touts its Garcinia Cambogia diet supplement because the plaintiffs raised a plausible claim that its weight management and appetite control representations were false and misleading, a federal court in California ruled.

Frank Capaci and Cynthia Ford alleged the product’s active ingredients are incapable of providing any weight-loss benefits, and pointed to studies to support their contention, the US. District Court for the Central District of California said.
