Spirit Airlines Beats Suit Over ‘Sham’ $6 Shortcut Security Pass

Spirit Airlines Inc. exited a suit alleging it deceived passengers with worthless $6 airport security shortcut passes, as a Florida federal court said a class action waiver barred class claims, and it lacked jurisdiction over the individual plaintiffs’ claims.

Yarinell Román, Paul Roberts II, Joaquin Rivera, and Cintya Larios Guzman alleged Spirit’s program, promising the ability to get to security screening using one of the fastest lines available, was a “complete sham” because some airports don’t have expedited lines leading to screening.
