Snap Must Face Lawsuit Blaming Speed Filter for Crash Injuries

Snap Inc. must face a Georgia couple’s product liability claims blaming its speed filter for a high-speed crash that seriously injured the husband, a state appeals court said

A jury could find that Snapchat’s speed-recording filter caused the crash, the Georgia Court of Appeals said Wednesday, allowing the case to proceed. Snap also faces a wrongful death suit brought in federal court in California by two sets of Wisconsin parents who blame Snapchat’s speed filter for their sons’ deaths in a high-speed crash.
