Simple Green Cleaner ‘Non-Toxic’ Label Deceptive, Suit Says

Sunshine Makers Inc.'s Simple Green cleaning products are deceptively touted as “non toxic” because they contain ingredients that are harmful to humans, animals, or the environment, a new suit in the Northern District of California alleges.

Concerns about toxicity have led consumers to seek out supposedly safer cleaning products, the sales of which have surged in recent years, Michelle Moran says in a proposed class suit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
