Schiff’s Glucosamine Supplements Don’t Work, Suit Says

Schiff “Move Free Advanced” glucosamine and chondroitin-based supplements are deceptively marketed to make people think they help ease joint pain, according to a new proposed class suit against seller Reckitt Benckiser, LLC.

Dietary supplement litigation is on the rise. More than 68 percent of Americans use vitamins and other supplements, and the Food and Drug Administration doesn’t have authority to review supplements for safety and effectiveness before they are marketed.
