A $53 million class settlement in a joint-health supplement suit, the largest recovery in a false advertising action involving a retail product, warrants early approval, consumers and Reckitt Benckiser LLC told a California federal court.
The deal gives substantial benefit to class members, according to a motion filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
