‘Ripe Strawberry’ Kashi Breakfast Bar False-Ad Claims Advance

Kellogg Co. unit Kashi Sales LLC faces another proposed class action over Soft Baked Breakfast Bars, following an Illinois federal court ruling that the label’s “Ripe Strawberry” representation is subject to “different plausible interpretations.”

Sheila Johnston alleges the label led her to believe the filling would contain more strawberry ingredients than other fruit ingredients, but the bars are made mostly from pear and apple, making it deceptive.
