Ricoh Beats Another Pentax Camera Lawsuit Alleging Design Flaw

Ricoh Imaging Americas Corp. shook off another proposed class suit over alleged design flaws in some Pentax cameras when a federal court in Illinois said a consumer failed to show any misrepresentation and raised no viable claims.

Joe Bondick bought a Pentax K-50 camera in 2014, for about $700. It came with a one-year warranty. Beginning in 2018 or 2019, the camera began to have exposure issues, causing pictures to appear dark, he said.
