Revlon subsidiary Almay was hit with a consumer class action alleging the company falsely labeled its products as hypoallergenic.
Almay’s products “contain a shocking array and substantial amount” of allergens and irritants, the suit alleges.
The named plaintiff, Kathryn Flint, alleges she wouldn’t have bought the products if she had known they were not hypoallergenic as promised.
Flint, a California resident. filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Aug. 3.
Revlon and Almay are headquartered in New York.
