Raid Bug Bomb Suit Barred by Federal Law, Maker Says

Raid bug fogger maker S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. says federal law blocks a proposed class suit alleging the bug bomb’s label is deceptive because the product doesn’t work.

Brooklyn resident Robert Crespo said he bought Raid Concentrated Deep Reach Fogger based on allegedly deceptive label claims that Raid “kills ants, roaches, & spiders,” “penetrates into cracks & crevices to kill bugs where they live & breed,” and “keeps killing for up to 2 months.”

The fog can’t get to where the bugs are, he said.
