Puritan’s Pride Sued Over Allegedly Contaminated Daily Vitamin

Puritan’s Pride LLC is facing a negligence, product liability, and breach of warranty lawsuit from a woman who says her daily multivitamin was contaminated with bacteria.

Alice Utter on Monday filed the complaint in the US District Court for the Central District of California after the company removed her state court complaint to the federal court earlier this month.

Utter says contamination of her “Puritan’s Pride One Daily” women’s multivitamin led to organ failure and other physical injuries.

Puritan’s Pride “negligently and carelessly manufactured, prepared, tested,” and sold vitamins that weren’t safe for their intended purpose, the complaint says.
