The Cliff Corp. and Grupo Caribe, LLC have been ordered to stop the discharges of stormwater and runoff flowing into the Atlantic Ocean from the Cliff Villas Hotel and Country Club construction project in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, according to the Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday.
The agency alleged that the developers didn’t acquire Clean Water Act permit authorization before discharging pollutants.
The construction site operators have to submit an action plan, come into compliance, and properly control discharges from the site and provide monthly reports, according to the agency.
