Procter & Gamble Co. is facing a lawsuit related to fluorochemicals, which are alleged to be in Oral B dental floss.
The lawsuit cited a study published in January in the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology that found use of Oral-B Glide dental floss was “associated with higher levels” of some per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in blood.
The suit, filed Jan. 11, seeks class action status and damages for people who used the floss, saying Procter & Gamble omitted information that the floss had “excessive amounts” of PFAS’s, which can cause “harmful effects to the human body”. ...
