Philips’ $613 Million CPAP Recall Settlement Gets Final Approval

Koninklijke Philips NA and affiliates will provide at least $506.3 million to plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation related to the recall of 16 lines of sleep apnea machines, after a federal judge granted final approval to a class settlement agreement.

The $506 million “represents a floor, not a ceiling, and that amount will increase as additional returns of” the recalled devices and additional claims are filed and approved, Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania said Thursday.
