Philip Morris Accused of Marketing Nicotine Pouches to Teens

Philip Morris International Inc. and its subsidiary Swedish Match North America LLC marketed Zyn products, flavored nicotine pouches, to teens and deceptively advertised the products as tobacco-free nicotine replacement therapy, according to a new federal lawsuit.

“Zyn is just a recent iteration of the tobacco industry’s historical practice of designing a nicotine delivery device that hooks kids to nicotine while making them think it is not dangerous or harmful,” the proposed class action filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida says.
