Perrigo Recalls One Batch of Nestle Baby Formula on Safety Issue

Perrigo Co. is recalling one batch of Nestle SA’s infant formula in Canada due to the potential presence of a bacteria that can cause lethal infections.

The voluntary recall of one stock-keeping unit of Nestle Good Start Soothe 942g Infant Formula is out of an “abundance of caution,” due to the risk that cronobacter sakazakii may be present, the company said in a statement Friday night.

The product was manufactured at the company’s Gateway Eau Claire manufacturing facility in January. Perrigo said no distributed product has tested positive for this bacteria and no adverse events have been reported. No ...
