P&G Swaddled With National Class Action Complaint Over Super-Absorbent Diaper

The Procter & Gamble Co. was slapped with a national class action May 11, by parents who claim that new Pampers diapers containing “Dry Max” technology is causing severe rashes and chemical burns in some infants (Clark v. Procter & Gamble Co.).

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Ohio, demands that P&G ensure that Pampers won’t cause harm to babies and that the company submit product testing results on a regular basis. The plaintiffs seek reimbursement for the costs of diapers, as well as for medical expenses and treatment.
