P&G Metamucil Customers Dismiss Sugar-Health Deception Lawsuit

Two Metamucil users have voluntarily dropped claims alleging Procter & Gamble Co. violated California and New York consumer protection laws by deceptively portraying the fiber supplements as healthy despite a high sugar content.

Tara Amado and Regina Pellegrino filed a proposed class suit challenging label statements that said Metamucil’s fiber “Helps Support” appetite control, heart health, healthy blood sugar levels, and digestive health.
